Bana Hills

Bana Hills is beautiful hilltop resort, village and theme park perched atop a mountain in Danang. One of the best things to in Da Nang.

Ba Na Hills is famous for its French village with buildings that look like medieval castles, a majestic Golden Bridge, popular hubs of endless entertainment and more. If you want to experience France in a cheaper and nearer way, Bana Hills is the way to go.

So we took a 45 min grab ride ( Seriously pls use grab in Vietnam, it is like the easiest and cheapest mode of transport ) to the bottom of Bana Hills to catch a cable car ride up to the hill.

The entrance fee is pretty expensive 650,000 VND ( SGD $38) but it includes the theme park, cable car ride and access to the French village. If you stay in the hotel, you are given a discount price of 450,000 VND (SGD $30).

The hotel is approx $122 per night, but staying overnight at Bana Hills is one of the best decision. Only people who stay this hotel can enjoy the evening and morning atmosphere which something not to be missed.

Then, to reach the hilltop Ba Na Hills Resorts, we took the picturesque cable car. Guess how long we took the cable car for? 10mins? No. 20mins? No.

WE WERE ON THE CABLE CAR FOR A GOOD 45MINS!!!! And it just keeps going higher and higher. #xiaoscary

This famous cable car ride currently holds two Guinness World Records: the world’s longest single-cable cable car system (5,042.62 m long) and the world highest gap between its departure and arrival station (1,291.81 m high). The best part, of course, is the surrounding views of the lush forest leading up to your destination. One of the most amazing cable car ride in my entire life.

Once we reached the top, we were greeted with this amazing view. I was not kidding when I said this is France in Vietnam.

We went on to check in to our hotel: Bana Hills Mountain Resort. The check-in lobby was right at Marche Medival.

Enough of the sightseeing, it is time for some FUNNNNNN!!!

Fantasy Park

Bana hills is not just a village, but a theme park as well. Fantasy Park is a three-story indoor amusement park that will. There are a lot of fun and thrilling ride you can take. For adrenaline-seekers, there is a 21-meter rock climbing wall, a 29m Free-Fall Tower as well as other exciting rides such as the Skiver Pilot which will swing you around at high speed. If you prefer to keep your feet on the ground, there are over 90 games, a small playground for little children, a mini Ferris wheel, a mirror maze and more. It’s endless hours of fun and entertainment!  If you are lazy to queue, just play the many arcade games scattered around the place. There was a dancing arcade game which I wanted to try but I chickened out in the end. It was the still fun watching little kids dance. SO CUTE !

Our favorite was the bumper car LOL. We went on that around 5 times. Oh and we played the claw machine ( this was not free but only $0.20 per try) and CAUGHT A SUPER CUTE WINNIE THE POOH. But when we tried to catch the 2nd one (so that both of us can have one pooh bear), we failed 10 times… In the end, one guy couldn’t stand it anymore, he played for us and CAUGHT IT IN ONE TRY! #skills He gave us the pooh bear, so we still got a pooh bear each in the end. Time to practice claw machine skills….

And the famous Alpine coaster. The queue is super long (usually take 2hrs) so if you are here for a day trip, give it a miss. We took the ride exactly at 6pm (near the closing time) and the next morning at 10am (opening time). #benefitsofstayingovernight We only waited for 30 mins! YAY!!!

Sorry didn’t take any pic but here one I got from google so you get an idea what the ride actually is.

Dinner

There are several restaurants that are opened in the day. But all pretty expensive, so we decided to go for the dinner buffet later the night. And it was seriously the best choice. Firstly, it was really cheap 200,000 VND ( $12 SGD) for a DINNER BUFFET at Beer Plaza. Although the food taste average but there was plenty of meat. I mean, you are still on a mountain so having that much food is good enough. Secondly, you have a LIVE BAND, ACROBAT AND DANCE PERFORMANCES! Seriously what more can you ask for in a dinner?

Usually, people travel to Bana Hills for a day trip, but if you have the time, stay overnight for the BEAUTIFUL NIGHT VIEW!!!! And the streets have way less people and the weather is super cool between 12-15 degrees. You will feel transported to Medieval France.

LOL, so many couples were there to take their wedding photos. DSC_1580

Next day, we woke up early in the morning to see this famous GOLDEN BRIDGE. The design is inspired by a colossal pair of hands reaching out from the mountain to grab the golden silk suspended in the sky. The fact that people actually built it at an altitude of 1414 meters above sea level is pretty amazing. From the Golden Bridge, you can admire the pristine forests and the whole beautiful Da Nang city.

This is literally, walking on the skies.

After that, we check out of our hotel and left for Danang city. And yes, we had another thrilling 45 mins cable ride down. Going down is so much scarier and than going up.

Bana hills is a must visit. It is a beautiful, romantic and magical little village that will make you feel like you stepped into a fairy tale.
