Kanchanaburi: Bridge Over the River Kwai

Next day we packed our bags for another town in Thailand:

Kanchanaburi !!!

We wanted to save so we were pretty adventurous. With two huge luggage, we took a grab to mo chit bus terminal, a local bus terminal. From there, we bought our bus tickets and hopped on an old minivan to Kanchanaburi. We were the only foreigners on the van, the rest were local Thais. Definitely not the most comfortable or safest, but it was the cheapest, we only paid 120 Baht ($5 Sgd) per person for a 100km bus journey.

We reached in about 3 hours. From the Kanchanaburi bus terminal, we took a local Tuk tuk to send us to our hotel. We are the only passengers on that big Tuk-tuk, it was a really fun and thrilling experience

FINALLY, We reached our Hotel for the next 2 nights: U Inchantree Kanchanaburi!

It was a really lovely Resort hotel along the famous River Kwai. The scenery around the hotel was really amazing too! The hotel provided free bicycle rental so we immediately set off.

Right outside our hotel was a roadside shop selling this fried prata with banana with condensed milk dessert. It looks pretty good so we decided to stop and try. IT WAS DELICIOUS !!! Love an unexpected but great find.

It began raining after that so we had a simple dinner at a cafe beside the bridge. The Basil Chicken was really goodIMG_1074

When the rain became lighter, we raced back to our hotel.

Ended our day relaxing in our hotel while admiring the river view
